Privacy Policy

Flyover Sports LLC ("Flyover Sports," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Flyover Sports mobile application and the website at flyoversportsapp.com (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information — email address, username, password (stored in hashed form), and optional profile details when you create an account. You can browse the app without an account.
• Preferences — the teams and leagues you choose to follow and your notification settings.
• User content — posts and replies in Team Threads, poll votes, reactions, and any other content you submit. Team Thread posts are public and visible to other users.
• Reports, blocks, and support requests — when you report content or a user, block a user, or contact support, we collect the information you provide and details about the content or account involved.

Information collected automatically:

• Device information — device type and model, operating system and version, app version, language, and device or advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA/IDFV or Google's Advertising ID, subject to your permission settings).
• Usage data — screens visited, features used, content viewed or tapped, session duration, and interaction with ads.
• Approximate location — city or region level, inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
• Push notification token — if you enable notifications, a device token that lets us deliver them.
• Diagnostics — crash reports and performance data.

We do not collect payment information (the app is free), precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or biometric data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, including delivering the team feeds you follow
• To display your username and posts to other users when you participate in community features
• To send push notifications (such as news digests for your teams) if you opt in, and service or account communications by email
• To serve advertisements through Google AdMob and measure their performance
• To analyze usage patterns and improve content curation and features
• To moderate content, enforce our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, process reports and blocks, and prevent abuse, spam, and fraud
• To respond to your support requests and legal requests
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

Flyover Sports uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

• Google AdMob — serves in-app advertisements and may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad delivery, measurement, and (with your permission) personalization. How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
• Google Firebase — app infrastructure, authentication, analytics, push notifications, and crash reporting.
• YouTube API Services — the app displays creator videos using YouTube API Services. Your use of those features is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. We do not access your YouTube account or request YouTube authorization.
• X (formerly Twitter) API — displays curated public posts from team-related accounts. We do not access your X account.
• ESPN and other sports data sources — provide scores, schedules, and statistics.
• Podcast and news feeds — publicly available RSS feeds from publishers and podcast hosts.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — cloud hosting, databases, content delivery, and transactional email providers that process data on our behalf.

Third-party content shown in the app (videos, posts, articles) may be loaded from the provider's servers, which may collect standard information such as your IP address when it loads.

4. How We Share Information

Flyover Sports does not sell your personal information, and we do not license, rent, or trade it. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Other users — your username, profile details, and anything you post in community features are visible to other users of the Service.
• Service providers — vendors that operate the Service on our behalf, including hosting, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, email delivery, content moderation, and advertising. They may process your information only to perform services for us.
• Advertising — Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads within the app. On iOS, personalized advertising requires your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; on Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in your device settings. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, this use of advertising identifiers may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising"; you can opt out using the device settings described above.
• Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Flyover Sports, our users, or others.
• Business transfer — if Flyover Sports is acquired by or merged with another company, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not share your email address, name, account credentials, or private account activity with advertisers, teams, universities, brands, or marketing partners.

5. Your Choices

• Account and data deletion — you can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings inside the app, or by emailing support@flyoversportsapp.com from your account email. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
• Push notifications — turn them off in the app's settings or your device settings.
• Email — unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email; we will still send essential account and legal notices.
• Ad personalization — control it through App Tracking Transparency (iOS) or the Ads settings on Android.
• Blocking — block any user from their profile or post to stop seeing their content.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account information and user content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except that we may retain (a) limited records of content that was removed for violating our Terms or Community Guidelines, reports, and enforcement actions, as needed to prevent abuse and ban evasion; (b) information needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes; and (c) copies in routine backups for a limited period. Aggregated or de-identified usage data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Children's Privacy

Flyover Sports is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at support@flyoversportsapp.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise these rights by emailing support@flyoversportsapp.com. We will verify your request using the email address on your account and respond within the time required by law. You may also appeal a decision by replying to our response. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under California law.

International users. The Service is operated from the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

9. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and hashed password storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the app, updating the "Last Updated" date above, or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
